Milagres Kindergarten & Primary School Annual Day Celebrations 

Annual Day celebrations of Milagres English Medium Kindergarten and Primary School held on Friday, November 25 at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall here in an lively manner.

Very Rev Fr Valerian Mendonca Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions and Rector of Milagres Cathedral here was presided over the programme. Dr. Sowjanya S Shetty M., Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, Poornaprajna College, Udupi and Alumnus of the Milagres English School was the chief guest. Endowment prizes were distributed by the chief guest. The chief guest Dr Sowjanya S Shetty was felicitated during the occasion.

In her address Dr Sowjanya pointed out the role of parents for their children during the school career. She said that the celebration of school days identifying the talents of students. Parents should actively involve on their children during their studies and the activities. Parents are first teacher of early years of child. The school is the second home for them that children lives lot of time with their parents and it should need to become independent. Parents do play a critical role what the child learns at school is taken care of by the teachers. The child is learning to be confident when parents give them plenty of opportunities to experience many different environments and discover the new things.

Rev Sr. Shanthi Pramila B.S. Head Mistress presented the annual report with record of events and activities, achievements’ and facilities.

In his presidential address Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca said that we have to think positively and we have to take challenge in the life and so it makes us successful. The cent percent result in S.S.L.C examinations will be great achievements of the students and the faculty of the school. There were 84 students appeared for the examination which 43 students secured distinction while 40 students secured first class and only one student secured with second class results.

Major themes of the cultural programmes included welcome singing, jungle dance, English and Hindi dances, English skit, Garba, Patriotic dance, Kannada dance and many more enthralled the jam packed hall.

Jefrey Dias, Vice President of Milagres Cathedral Parish Pastoral Council, Jeevan Shetty, President of PTA and Shashikala Bhat Vice President of PTA, and SPL and ASL of the school present on the dais.

Every bit beginning from the formal programme till the School anthem was compered by the students themselves.
